Of all the things she did, Pauline always loved working in and appreciating gardens. She worked hard to make her home garden a magnificent display of plant life in an urban setting for all seasons and wildlife.
For over 15 years she volunteered at the Litzsinger Ecology Center, part of the Missouri Botanical Garden

The Webster Groves Herb Society
She was the lunch coordinator for many years (a very important role!) A Pauline Ashton Scholarship has been established through WGHS to provide a grant for a college student studying plants or nutrition.
The Tower Grove South Garden Club.
